Linda Wong
Linda Wong, born Linda Carol Seki on September 13, 1951, in San Francisco, California, was an American of Japanese ethnicity who grew up in a wealthy family and was raised in a traditional Asian-American household. She was a homecoming queen at Kennedy High School in Richmond, California, in 1969, and later pursued higher education, earning a degree in dance which led her to work briefly as a ballerina. Before entering the adult industry, she held jobs including as a secretary in the office of famed San Francisco attorney Melvin Belli and as a masseuse in Las Vegas under the name Linda Ching. Wong first entered adult content in the mid-1970s through nude modeling, appearing in Hustler magazine, which prompted approaches for porn films; her entry was marked by her exotic appeal breaking barriers as one of the first Asian stars in American adult cinema. She used several stage names throughout her career, including Linda Wong, Sandy Stram, Linda Ching, and Linda Chang. Wong's adult film career spanned from 1976 to 1981, with a brief return in 1985, during which she appeared in approximately 66 films, establishing her as a superstar of the Golden Age of Porn. She worked with independent producers and companies associated with films like those from VCX and Caballero, collaborating with top industry names.
